Heath Huntspon was shot to death in the New City community early Wednesday.
Four males approached a home in the 5300 block of South May Street and knocked on the door about 12:15 a.m., police said.
When Huntspon, 25, came onto the porch, one of the males shot him twice in the chest, authorities said.
Huntspon, who live on the block, died at the scene, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Nobody has been charged for the murder.
Area Central detectives are investigating.
