Abraham Burgo has died after being shot last month in the North Lawndale community.
Burgo, 35, was shot in the neck in the 1500 block of South Trumbull Avenue about 5:20 p.m. Jan. 23, authorities said.
Burgo, of the 400 block of Devonshire Court in Bolingbrook, was initially taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he died on Sunday, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
An Monday autopsy confirmed Burgo died from the gunshot to the neck and the death was ruled a homicide, according to the medical examiner’s office.
Area Central detectives are investigating.
