Jamaine McDaniel was fatally shot in the Austin neighborhood Monday morning.
McDaniel, 33, was outside in the 200 block of South Lotus Avenue when a gunman walked up and opened fire about 11:10 a.m., authorities said.
McDaniel, who lived on the block, was shot in the head and chest and died at the scene, authorities said.
Nobody has been charged for the murder.
Area North detectives are investigating.
