Ronnie Finch Jr. killed in West Pullman shooting

Ronnie Finch Jr. was shot to death in the West Pullman neighborhood early Sunday.

Finch, 25, was a front seat passenger in a car parked in the 12200 block of South Racine Avenue when a gunman walked up and opened fire about 1:55 a.m. Sunday, authorities said.

Finch was shot in the right side of the head, and the driver took him to the nearby Calumet Park Department, police said.

Finch, of the 12300 block of South Bishop Street in Calumet Park, was then taken to MetroSouth Medical Center in Blue Island, where he died less than an hour later, authorities said.

Nobody has been charged for the killing.

Area South detectives are investigating.
