Brian Pridgeon was fatally shot in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood late Friday.
Officers responding to a call of shots fired in the 7900 block of South Aberdeen Street found Pridgeon shot in the chest about 10:10 p.m. Friday, authorities said.
Pridgeon, 26, of the 18100 block of Versailles Lane in Hazel Crest, died at the scene, according to the medical examiner’s office, which ruled the death a homicide.
Nobody has been charged for the killing.
Area South detectives are investigating.
