Joseph Williams was stabbed to death inside his South Deering home early Tuesday.
Williams, 26, was fighting with his girlfriend inside his apartment in the 10700 block of South Bensley Avenue when she stabbed him in the chest about 1:20 a.m., authorities said.
Williams died at Advocate Trinity Hospital less than an hour later, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
The girlfriend was initially taken into custody, but she was later released without being charged, police said.
Area South South detectives are investigating.
