Schiquille Salter, 23, was fatally shot July 6, 2014, in the West Pullman community. His brother, Shamari Salter, was shot to death May 13 in the Roseland neighborhood. Reader “James” posted this about him:
This is so sad. I just read schiquille’s profile and I can’t fathom how much the parents of these two must be going through. Schiquille sounds a lot like me, university student just trying to pay tuition and make a better situation for himself, except he grew up in chicago and I’m in canada. RIP
