Police release video of suspect in Chatham shooting death of Glenn Houston Jr.

Chicago Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a man suspected in the fatal shooting of Glenn Houston Jr. in December 2014 at a Chatham grocery.

Houston, 23, was in the Eberhart Food Store at 457 E. 79th St. when a gunman walked in and started shooting about 3:15 p.m. Dec. 23, 2014, authorities said.

Houston, of the 7700 block of South Rhodes Avenue, was shot in the chest multiple times and died at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County less than an hour later, authorities said.

On Friday, police released surveillance video of a person they believe is the shooter.

The suspect is described as 5-foot-10, 190-pound man in his early 20s with a medium complexion, short black hair and facial hair, police said.
