Master G. Roberson was fatally shot in the Humboldt Park neighborhood Monday afternoon.
Roberson, 23, was in the 700 block of North Hamlin Avenue when a gunman approached and opened fire about 2:25 p.m., authorities said.
Roberson, of the 1400 block of North Linder Avenue, was shot in the chest and head, authorities said. He died less than an hour later at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County.
Nobody has been charged for the killing.
Area North detectives are investigating if the shooting is gang related.
