Demetrius M. Peebles was shot to death in the Burnside neighborhood Thursday night.
Officers on patrol near the 1300 block of East 94th Street heard gunfire and found Demetrius M. Peebles shot in the head about 9:45 p.m. Thursday, authorities said.
Peebles, 17, of the 2100 block of South Harper Avenue, died at the scene, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Nobody has been charged for the killing.
Area South detectives are investigating.
