Dennis Hoosier of Midlothian fatally shot in domestic dispute in apartment near O’Hare

Dennis Hoosier of Midlothian man was shot and killed in a possible domestic-related incident early Friday in the O’Hare neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

Hoosier, 23, was shot several times about 12:45 a.m. following an altercation with another man, 22, inside an apartment complex in the 8500 block of West Bryn Mawr, according to police at the scene and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Hoosier, who lived in the 14700 block of Kilpatrick Avenue in Midlothian, was pronounced dead at the scene and the other man was taken into custody, authorities said. No charges had been filed early Friday.

The apartment complex is one of many that are surrounded by hotels, corporate offices and restaurants.

An officer at the scene said the area is usually very quiet.

“We don’t get called up here often,” he said. “Nothing happens here.”
