A man shot to death in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side early Friday has been identified as 31-year-old Michael George Walton.
Officers responding to a call of a person shot at 2:40 a.m. Friday found Walton lying unresponsive in the 100 block of West 117th Street with gunshot wounds to the head, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Walton, of the 6700 block of South Crandon, was pronounced dead at 2:50 a.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.
His death was ruled a homicide.
