Orlando Calderon killed, woman injured in shooting in Belmont Cragin


Orlando Calderon was killed and woman wounded in Belmont Cragin on Tuesday afternoon.

About 4:47 p.m., the 18-year-old Calderon and 21-year-old woman were shot in the 6100 block of West Fullerton, authorities said.

Calderon was shot in the back and taken to Loyola Medical Center in Maywood, where he was pronounced dead at 10 p.m. The Cook County medical examiner’s office said lived Calderon of the 5000 block of West Fullerton.

The woman was shot in the leg and her condition had stabilized at Loyola, police said.
