Lance Braxton was killed and another wounded during an armed robbery at a dice game in the Austin neighborhood Thursday night, Chicago Police said.
Braxton, 36, and another 36-year-old man were outside playing dice in the 5800 block of West Chicago about 8:30 p.m. when at least two other people walked up and started shooting, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Both men were shot and someone drove them to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, police said.
Braxton, of the 800 block of North Mayfield, was shot in the chest, and was pronounced dead less than 30 minutes later, authorities said.
The other man was shot in the chest and arm, and his condition was stabilized, police said.
