Jerald Strong fatally shot during argument with another man in North Lawndale


Jerald Strong was shot and killed during an argument Tuesday afternoon in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.

The 24-year-old was arguing with another man about 1 p.m. in the 3200 block of West 15th Street when the other man pulled a gun and fired shots, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Strong, of the 1300 block of South Christiana, was shot in the head, and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he died within the hour, authorities said.

An autopsy showed he died of multiple gunshot wounds and ruled his death a homicide.
