Andre Donner Jr. dies just minutes after being shot in Englewood


Andre D. Donner Jr. was shot to death Sunday morning in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The shooting happened just after 10 a.m. in the 7200 block of South May, according to Chicago Police.

The 26-year-old Donner suffered a head wound and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he died at 10:41 a.m., according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Donner lived in the 7000 block of South Lowe, authorities said.

The circumstances of the shooting were unknown.
