Ashlee Eddings of southwest suburban Joliet died several hours after being shot early Sunday in Englewood, the same shooting that claimed the life of Tyree White.
The 29-year-old White and the 28-year-old Eddings were outside near West 59th Street and South Wentworth Avenue when someone walked up and opened fire about 2:15 a.m., according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
White, of the 200 block of East 121st Place, was shot in the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene less than 30 minutes later, authorities said.
Eddings, of the 300 block of North Broadway Street in Joliet, was shot in the back and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 6:05 a.m. Sunday, according to the medical examiner’s office.
