A man has been charged with stabbing Alphonzo Guinyard to death during an argument Sunday morning in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.
Clifton Hooker, 32, is charged with first-degree murder, according to Chicago Police.
Hooker was arguing with a 26-year-old Guinyard in the 3400 block of West Polk about 9:20 a.m. when he stabbed the younger man in the back, according to police.
Guinyard was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the argument was domestic-related, but the exact relationship between the two men was not immediately known.
Hooker, who lives in the home where the stabbing took place, was scheduled to appear in bond court Tuesday.
Guinyard was originally from Titusville, Florida, where he graduated from Titusville High. He also graduated from Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri. He was employed by Macy’s.
