Maria Ramos fatally stabbed in ‘domestic’ incident in Pilsen laundromat

Maria Ramos was stabbed to death Thursday morning in a laundromat in the Pilsen neighborhood on the South Side in what police are calling a domestic-related attack.

The 34-year-old was stabbed in the head in the 1700 block of West Cermak at 8:23 a.m., according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Ramos was pronounced dead at the SpinCycle laundry at 8:50 a.m., authorities said. She lived in the 2000 block of West Cullerton.

Police believe the attack was domestic-related.
