In what turned out to be the third fatal shooting in Chicago on Tuesday, Jeremy Parker was killed in a drive-by Tuesday night in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood.
Parker, 21, was standing in the street in the 7400 block of South Maplewood about 9:05 p.m. when someone in a passing vehicle shot him in the chest, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
The car then sped away.
Parker, of the 7900 block of South Damen, was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:40 p.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.
