Dwayne Triplett found with fatal gunshot wounds in car near his Englewood Home

Dwayne T. Triplett was found fatally shot Sunday morning in a car near his home in the Englewood neighborhood.

About 8:35 a.m., an officer on patrol found the 32-year-old slumped over at the wheel of a vehicle near his home in the 1100 block of West 72nd Street, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Triplett had been shot in the head and chest, and was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:53 a.m., authorities said.

Triplett was the father of three, according to his Facebook page.
