Kendall Smith was fatally shot just two blocks from his home in the Roseland neighborhood Friday night, Chicago Police said.
Smith, 22, of the 11200 block of South Indiana, was standing on the sidewalk in the 11200 block of South Michigan about 9:30 p.m. when he heard gunfire and felt pain, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he died at 10:58 p.m., authorities said.
