Victor Alvarado fatally shot in drive-by attack while walking in Pilsen

Victor Alvarado was killed in a drive-by shooting while walking in the Pilsen neighborhood Saturday night.

About 11 p.m., the 26-year-old Alvarado was walking in the 1900 block of South May when someone began shooting from a passing silver car, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Alvarado was shot multiple times and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12:38 a.m. Sunday, authorities said. He lived in the 2500 block of West 40th Street.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the family with funeral expenses.
