Hani Yousef killed in West Lawn shooting that ended with car crashed into front porch of home

The men, ages 23 and 24, were in a car heading south on Karlov from 65th at 9:55 p.m. when someone in a black SUV fired multiple shots at them, according to Chicago Police.

The victims’ car eventually crashed into the porch of home on the 4100 block of West Marquette, police said. The car could be seen in the front lawn with its damaged front end on the front steps.

The 24-year-old, identified as Yousef, was shot in the chest and was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:19 p.m., according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. Yousef lived in the 8200 block of South Luna in southwest suburban Burbank.

The other man suffered a graze wound to the neck and was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in good condition, according to police.
