Nahmar T. Holmes was shot to death Saturday afternoon outside his home in the Brainerd neighborhood.
Holmes, 23, was standing outside his home in the 8900 block of South Justine about 5:20 p.m. when two people walked up and shot him multiple times in the torso, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Holmes was taken to South Shore Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:39 p.m., authorities said.
Gunfire also broke out Sunday night on the same block, where three people were shot, one fatally, during a memorial vigil for Homes.
