Police say witnesses are not cooperating after Jevon O’Brien fatally shot in Rogers Park

Chicago Police say they don’t have much information about the fatal shooting of Jevon O’Brien early Tuesday in the Rogers Park neighborhood because witnesses are not cooperating with investigators.

O’Brien, 26, was shot in the head at 4:05 a.m. in the 1500 block of West Jonquil Terrace, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

After being hit by gunfire, O’Brien was taken by friends to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, where he was pronounced dead at 5:50 a.m., authorities said. He lived in the 7700 block of North Paulina.

Additional information on the shooting was not available as witnesses were not cooperating with investigators, police said.
