Reginald Fleming Jr. of south suburban Lansing fatally shot while walking in West Pullman

South suburban resident Reginald Fleming Jr. was killed in a shooting in the West Pullman neighborhood Monday afternoon on the Far South Side.

About 4:30 p.m., the 18-year-old Fleming was walking through a vacant lot in the 12000 block of South Prairie. A dark car pulled up nearby and someone inside shot him in the head, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Fleming, who lived in the 2100 block of 175th Street in Lansing, was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 7:51 p.m., the medical examiner’s office said.
