Aaron Jackson was killed in a drive-by shooting in the Lawndale neighborhood late Thursday on the Southwest Side.
Just before 10 p.m., the 25-year-old was on a sidewalk in the 1500 block of South Komensky, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
A dark-colored minivan drove by, and someone inside fired shots, striking him in the abdomen.
Jackson was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:28 p.m., authorities said. He lived in the 1300 block of South Lawndale. An autopsy Friday found the cause of death to be a gunshot wound to the back.
