Christopher Walters was fatally shot Wednesday evening in the South Side Bronzeville neighborhood.
The 24-year-old was shot in the shoulder and leg at 6:54 p.m. in the 4700 block of South Prairie, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Walters, who lived in the 6200 block of South Champlain, was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:49 p.m., the medical examiner’s office said.
As of Thursday morning, police could not provide additional details on the shooting as Area Central detectives investigate.
