Luis Villa was found fatally shot early Sunday in the driver’s seat of a car on the block where lived in the West Elsdon neighborhood on the Southwest Side.
Villa, 36, was sitting in the parked car about 12:30 a.m. in the 5600 block of South Kolmar, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. That’s when a silver vehicle pulled alongside and someone inside opened fire.
Villa was shot in the side of his torso and was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:42 a.m., authorities said. He lived on the same block where the shooting happened.
