21-year-old David Carroll Jr. shot to death on block where he lived on Far South Side

David Carroll Jr. was fatally shot Tuesday night on the block where he lived in the Far South Side Pullman neighborhood.

The 21-year-old Carroll suffered a gunshot wound to the right side of his body about 7:45 p.m. in the 9700 block of South Woodlawn, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Carroll, who lived on the same block, was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:14 p.m., authorities said. The circumstances of the shooting were unknown.
