Charles Luckett killed, woman wounded when gunman opens fire in East Garfield Park motorcycle club

Charles Luckett was killed and a woman wounded in a shooting in an East Garfield Park motorcycle club early Friday on the West Side.

About 2:30 a.m., the 32-year-old Luckett and a 42-year-old women were inside the Midnight Riders Clubhouse at 3808 W. Chicago Ave. when someone opened fire, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Luckett was struck in the chest, and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where the East Garfield Park resident was pronounced dead, police and the medical examiner’s office said. The woman, who was struck in the ankle, was listed in good condition at Mount Sinai.

No one was in custody for the shooting.
