Santwon Mobley shot to death in drive-by while getting out of vehicle in Englewood

Santwon D. Mobley was shot to death Sunday evening near his home in the South Side Englewood neighborhood.

The 22-year-old Mobley was getting out of a vehicle about 7 p.m. in the 200 block of West 61st Place when someone shot him in the hip and the head from an approaching white SUV, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Mobley, who lived on the same block as the shooting, was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:59 p.m., authorities said.
