23-year-old Jamal Webb shot to death while walking in Chatham

Jamal Webb was shot to death Friday afternoon in the Chatham neighborhood on the South Side.

The 23-year-old Webb was outside about 1:45 p.m. in the 7800 block of South Champlain, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Someone got out of a dark-colored car, walked up and shot him, police said.

Webb, who lived in the same neighborhood, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene at 2 p.m., authorities said.
