Christian Fulgham shot to death in what police believe may have been a road rage incident in Chatham

Christian Kihal Fulgham was shot to death in what police believe may have been a road-rage incident Sunday afternoon in the South Side Chatham neighborhood.

The 27-year-old Fulgham was traveling in a vehicle in the 600 block of East 82nd Street about 3:45 p.m., according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Another vehicle approached and someone inside took out a gun and fired shots.

Fulgham suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, and died there at 4:23 p.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.

The South Side Avalon Park neighborhood resident was a 2008 graduate of Simeon Career Academy.

A person was taken into custody after the shooting, but was later released without being charged, police said.
