Eugene ‘E-Man’ Winters killed, two others wounded in Marquette Park shooting

Eugene Winters was killed and two other people were wounded in a Marquette Park neighborhood shooting late Friday on the Southwest Side.

At 10:50 p.m., the three were standing in the 2500 block of West Lithuanian Plaza Court when shots rang out, according to Chicago Police.

The 18-year-old Winters, known as “E-Man,” was shot in the head, and was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he died at 11:32 p.m., according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. He lived on the block where he was shot.

A 33-year-old woman was grazed in the head, was was taken to the same hospital in serious condition. A 34-year-old man was shot multiple times in the left shoulder. His condition was stabilized, police said.

No one was in custody.
