Man shot to death in Lawndale identified as 18-year-old Terrence Johnson of Austin

A man who was shot to death Thursday morning in the West Side Lawndale neighborhood has been identified as 18-year-old Terrence Johnson.

Officers responding to reports of shots fired at 7:24 a.m. found Johnson in the 3800 block of West Flournoy, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

He had suffered gunshot wounds to the arm and neck.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he died at 7:53 a.m., according to the medical examiner’s office. Johnson lived in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

Police said the shooting was believed to be related to the selling of narcotics.
