Man fatally shot during argument in Englewood identified as 21-year-old O’Hage Marshawn Stewart

O’Hage Marshawn Stewart died after he was shot during an argument Thursday morning in the South Side Englewood neighborhood.

The 21-year-old Stewart was standing with a woman in the 200 block of West 69th Street at 9:18 a.m., according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

A male suspect walked up, and they got into an argument, police said. The suspect then pulled out a gun and fired shots.

Stewart was shot in the chest and back, and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:53 a.m., authorities said. He lived in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood.

An autopsy Friday found he died of the gunshot wound to his back, and the death was ruled a homicide.

The shooter ran away and was not in custody, police said.
