A man killed in a drive-by shooting in the South Side Washington Park neighborhood on Wednesday afternoon has been identified as 19-year-old Tremell L. Stornes Jr..
About 2:45 p.m., Stornes was standing outside on the 5200 block of South Cottage Grove, about a block away fro his home, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
A silver or gray car drove by and someone inside fired shots, police said.
Stornes was struck in the was head and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:11 p.m., authorities said.
