Jason Jernigan was killed in a Garfield Park area shooting Saturday night on the West Side. Jernigan, 27, was discovered in a vacant lot in the 3300 block of West Van Buren Street about 10:50 p.m. Saturday, authorities said. He was shot in the chest and abdomen area.
