The weekend’s only fatal shooting happened Friday night in the Portage Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side. About 8:30 p.m., police found Manuel Hernandez , 21, lying in a hallway of his apartment building in the 3900 block of North Central with a gunshot wound in his chest. He was taken to Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center, where he died a short time later, authorities said.
