A man shot dead early Tuesday on the West Side has been identified.
The shooting happened about 6 a.m. Tuesday in the 4000 block of West Wilcox Street in the East Garfield Park neighborhood, police said.
Darvelle Brown, 24, of the 4300 block of West Crystal Street, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he died roughly half an hour later, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
Details on what prompted the shooting were not known Tuesday night.
Area North detectives are investigating.
