A man was fatally shot in the abdomen area as he left an Englewood lounge early Friday on the South Side, authorities said.
A group of people told police they were near the club in the 900 block of West 69th Street when they heard gunshots at 2:01 a.m., police said.
A man — identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office as 30-year-old Christopher Roundtree — was shot as he left the club, police said.
Roundtree was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, where he died at 5:30 a.m., the medical examiner’s office said.
No one is in custody and Area South detectives are investigating.
