Lucas Zimmerman, 34, was found unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds in a convenience store parking lot in the 3900 block of North Kimball Avenue at about 12:10 a.m., authorities said.
Witnesses told police Zimmerman was shot in an alley in the 3300 block of West Irving Park Road before stumbling to the parking lot, police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said. He was shot in the arm and face, Alfaro added.
Zimmerman was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:25 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.
