4 charged with West Side robbery and stabbing death

Four people charged with robbing and stabbing a Calumet City man to death in the Austin neighborhood last February are scheduled to appear in court Thursday, police said.

Marquis Anderson, 22, was found stabbed to death in the 5000 block of West Ohio Street just before 11:30 p.m. on Feb 11, police Chicago Police News Affairs said in a statement.

Anderson, of the 0-100 block of Webb Street in Calumet City, died at the scene from multiple stab wounds, the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office said at the time.

Two of the people charged with Anderson’s death live within blocks of the scene of his murder, according to police.

Ashauntiara Cody, 21, of the 5000 block of West Ohio Street, faces one count of first-degree murder and count of armed robbery, police said.

Her nearby neighbor, 17-year-old Carlisle Lopez, of the 5200 block of West Race Avenue, faces the same charges – as do the other two men charged with the crime.

Victor Wilson, 24, of Rockford, and Deandre Davenport, 20, of the 7800 block of South Vernon Avenue will appear alongside them in court facing the same charges.
