Andre Vasquez, 36, was killed and another person was hurt in a shooting in the West Town neighborhood Sunday morning, authorities said.
The shooting happened at 6:04 a.m. near Division Street and Campbell Avenue, police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli said.
Vasquez, of the 2100 block of North Lawndale Avenue, was pronounced dead at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, according to a spokeswoman for the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
Fire Media Affairs said a second person was wounded in the shooting and that both were taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition.
