A man was fatally shot in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood Thursday afternoon on the South Side.
The 33-year-old man was shot in the neck about 2:40 p.m. in the 1400 block of West 80th Street, police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala said, citing preliminary information.
Dantario White, of the 8000 block of South Bishop Street, was pronounced dead at 4:14 p.m. at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
Area South detectives are investigating the shooting as a possible drive-by.
