A 40-year-old man was found shot to death in the Austin neighborhood Friday night.
Ramar Bonner, of the 700 block of North Lotus Avenue, was pronounced dead at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood at 8:38 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
About 8:05 p.m. police were called to the 200 block of North Mayfield Avenue for a report of a man shot.
When they arrived they found the 40-year-old man dead with a gunshot wound to the back of his head, police said.
Police said an unknown gunman fled the area on foot after the shooting.
No one was in custody as Area North detectives were investigating.
