A man was shot to death early Saturday in the West Pullman neighborhood on the South Side.
Shannon Ware, 28, was shot in the head and chest about 4 a.m. in front of his home in the 100 block of West 116th Street, authorities said. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The man was standing in a group of people on the sidewalk when an unidentified male fired from across the street, Alfaro said. The shooter then fled in a light-colored sedan.
Area South detectives are investigating.
