A man was shot and killed Monday after an argument in a restaurant the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.
The man, 28, was walking into the restaurant in the 2000 block of West Garfield Boulevard about noon when the suspect followed him inside, police said.
They exchanged words, then the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the man in the chest and lower extremities, according to police and fire officials.
Cauriece Graham, of the 1800 block of West Garfield Boulevard was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County where he died about 40 minutes later, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
The shooter fled on a bicycle and is not in custody Monday evening, police said. Area South detectives are investigating.
